You’ve heard a lot about my mom over the years—my dad was also amazing. A real character who was equally the boss and an advocate for fun. He worked so hard to take care of 7 kids and was also extraordinarily silly and fun. He could brighten any room and went out of his way to say something kind or funny to anyone who looked like they were having a bad day. He never seemed to get embarrassed or worry unduly about the future, two qualities I’m still working on!
