ICYMI: New Miffy Tote Kit & more tote madness!
Plus, a review of what you may have missed in April
Miffy is a 75-year-old classic & cuter than ever!
I saw a Miffy tote at a well-known museum store and it comes pre-embroidered (ew) and I thought--we can do better than that! Meet the Miffy DIY tote bag. Super cute and positive and you can always stitch a Subversive phrase on the inside if it's too cute for you. ;)
Carry all your stuff to the shore (or the pool, store, library...) and get to stitchin'! This natural tote is 100% cotton from Charles Craft and the bottom is gusseted so it expands. The woven inset is 9" x 10" and overall measurements are 11” across by 16” tall. Kit comes with everything you need: hoop, needles, floss, tote and pattern with instructions.
Remember, almost ALL of our patterns fit on our tote bags:

ALSO, we have lots of font charts you could personalize a tote with:

You can get a blank tote here. And all the PDF charts are here for you to browse and there is a section for alphabets.

Everything That Happened in April, in case you missed it:
We have a viral hit on our hands, thanks to the design skills of Mr. Stevers!
I kept seeing this design on Instagram, and one day, it hit me that this person needed to join our team. Luckily, she agreed--meet guest contributor Chantelle Daigle of OddlySpecificXStitch! We have created a kit of this design, though the colors are slightly different as they're in our palette--see more on the kit page. I love it!
New Stevers Kit Is Meant to be Read in the Mirror!

New PDF from VeryCrossStitching
I suppose you could switch out the flowers for a protest sign if you’re on your way to a march? Get into good trouble with this PDF pattern from VeryCrossStitching!
I’m always looking for experimental ideas and new materials, so I was delighted to find this black felt with pre-drilled holes for your cross-stitching pleasure. Actually, it may have been around for a while which means you are in SO much trouble for not letting me know! ANYWAY, in the never-ending quest to find novel ideas to keep your mind occupied, I came up with this 3D kit! You’ve probably already seen our postcards with this design—if not, there will be one in your order! What to do with this once you’re done? I’m experimenting with making a hanging sign and also a decorative pillow. Stay tuned and please share whatever you come up with!
Kindness Now! PDF by VeryCrossStitching
This new PDF from Juliet of VeryCrossStitching should keep your mind occupied! I love patterns with a lot of elements so that people may only “get” the subversive message on a second look.
That should keep you busy! ;) See you next week, same time same channel!
