Wash Those Filthy Paws!
We’re back with another towel kit design—a holiday classic! Our Filthy Hands towel kit will amuse your guests AND also encourage cleanliness in SUCH a subtle way. These Aberdeen Towels from Charles Craft are large at 27 x 16” and oh-so-plush, they stand up to washing well and I think the stitching looks better with each wash.
Cotton Clara Christmas Tree Pom Pom Kit
I thought this gorgeous kit from Cotton Clara would be a great gift to introduce someone to stitching over the holidays, maybe a tween. Of course, it comes with everything you need to customize it your way (sequins! pompoms!), but if you REALLY want to snazz it up, add a pack of our sew-on rhinestones! And of course Cotton Clara kits are always presented in pretty boxes, all the way from the UK.
Mr. Stevers: Dasher Dancer Prosseco Vixen
Dash away, dash away, dash away all—but leave the wine here! Another kit and PDF by Mr. Stevers, and a reminder to leave the driving to the reindeer this season.
PDF by Very Cross Stitching: Let's Get This Shitshow Started

PDF by StitchCraftBy Fwass: Drinking Until Christmas
Technicalities, technischmalities! Potato, potata. Another fun PDF pattern from guest contributor Christina of Stitchcraft by Fwass. Look at those silver threads on the ornaments!
New Video With ASMR Vibes
Oh, Carissa! Check out this great video she created of our Fridge Magnet Frame Kit! The sound is so great, it’ll give you the cross-stitch chills—I especially enjoyed the steam part.
Lisa Congdon Kits Make Great Gifts!
We’re so lucky that artist Lisa Congdon created cross-stitch kits! They’re a great way to make her art our own. These three kits would be a welcome sight under any tree.
Oh hey, happy December! I found SO many new things this year, I’ve got a few tricks left up my sleeve yet. I’ll be right here next week with some fun stuff—in the meantime, I’ll be here—stitching away.
I’ll leave you with this flashback to an earlier blog post (from 2020, when we thought things couldn’t get worse) with some links to articles about the value of stitching. xoxo, j.
This is a little reminder that the act of stitching is especially therapeutic and can really bring your levels of stress down. The benefits of stabbing a needle through fabric is notoriously therapeutic, akin to meditation. I can attest firsthand to how much it helps relieve my stress, depression and ANXIETY. It's all about FLOW-there's just something magical about engaging your hands in stitching that lets your brain roam free. That's one reason I constantly remind you that it's not about perfection-who really cares how the back of your stitching looks or if you're "doing it right"? Stitching is all about the journey and the journey is a relaxing one. It's good for stress, health, aging, everything. On top of that, I believe happiness comes through gratitude and giving, and nothing is quite as fun as gifting someone with your finished work--especially if it really cracks them up.
You have put into words what is in my heart.
