Two Big Projects to Sink Your Needle Into
(and use that pom-pom fringe you've been saving for something special)
Stitch the Barbie Monologue!
Someone suggested this and I accepted the challenge! The Barbie Monologue Kit of course comes with everything you need, including this gorgeous faint pink SPARKLY fabric I had shipped straight from DMC! It's a nice long project to pass the summer hours and, if you're a fan of the monologue, a great way to absorb its meaning.
Think Happy Thoughts Kit from Emily Peacock
I have adored this design for so long--I was finally able to get it in our shop! Designed by Emily Peacock and shipped from the UK, this is a super-fun and well-put-together project to really sink your teeth into! And just gorgeous. The Think Happy Thoughts kit comes with eeeeeverything you need (and it’s a lot!) except you need to BYO pom-pom fringe and a pillow form. Maybe some velvet for the back? LUSCIOUS!! The 33.5" long finished piece makes an ideal draft blocker under a door, on your desk or it could be framed and hung above the bed for the sweetest of dreams.
This Crazy Heat! FML!
The phrase I keep muttering to myself as I can’t walk across a hot parking lot fast enough! Our FML pattern is an oldie but a goodie, shown here as stitched by one of our favorite Subversive stitchers on Instagram, Elana.
New PDF pattern from contributor Very Cross Stitching
Very Cross Stitching is back with I See Stupid People. Meet her in the blog if you haven’t already. And here are all of the PDFs she has contributed so far. More on the way!
Diversion and Laffs
My friend Mitch showed me this video recently and I can’t get over it. I used to teach at Berlitz eons ago and I don’t think I’ve ever heard Spanish spoken (sung) so badly! Except for maybe that president we had a while back who shall not be named.
THIS. OMG. Every time I watch it I laugh until I cry.
I have so many more links to share, it could be my full-time job.
I’ll sign off for now. More goodies next week. Until then, you know I’ll be stitchin’! Hope you are, too. Comments are open, so say hello and tell us what you’re working on next!

p.s. Something special for paid subscribers next week, too!
OMG, I just saw "Barbie" last weekend and had been contemplating whether I could chart something EXACTLY LIKE THIS... but of course you not only beat me to it but way exceeded what I could have produced! Bless you for that! 💜💜💜
