This may look like a regular Subversive newsletter, but it’s the beginning of a whole new chapter. I’ve moved my newsletters over to Substack where I can also build a community for those who choose to add a paid subscription.
I embraced Substack because I can do everything I want to do on one platform: newsletters, discussions, chats, audio, video, giveaways, even an AMA (Ask Me Anything)! And, most importantly, we can build a like-minded community together: not just with me, but you can all interact with each other. Sort of like reddit, but a subscription-based space keeps out the haters and the troublemakers. (You may recall my short-lived Facebook group which dissolved into a nightmare of trolls gone wild.)
You’ll still get my regular newsletters but, if you want to become a member of the online clubhouse (community) I’m building, you have options:
As an early paid subscriber, you’ll be one of the first ones to weigh in about what’s important to you in our online community and what you’d like to see. I hope you’ll join me in charting what I’m calling Subversive Substack! And, yes, this is what’s been hiding behind Door #3! Surprise!!

You probably saw the announcement last week about the AMAZING new Stitch, Plz journals that Fred Studio and I created. I’m still taking pre-orders and am SO excited for their impending arrival I can hardly stand it! I can’t wait to see what you do with yours.

The journal kits come in a slick box with all you need: a needle, four colors of floss and a really nice booklet with instructions, patterns, some design elements and an alphabet so you can do your own thing. We also had a few peeps we know stitch up some of their own designs, which I’ll show you soon on Instagram at some point when Fred arranges a giveaway!
I’ll be back next week with a new product or two and another Guest Contributor!
xoxo
