OH, THE HORRORS! When will this elec—I mean—Halloween terror ever end? This Horrors Kit glows in the dark and then when the lights are on you can see the other part: “BUT SO DO I”. See? Not so scary once you turn on the light!
This super deluxe kit includes everything, including an entire skein of DMC glow-in-the-dark floss, and you'll need it! I've got some tips included on how to best work with this floss and I found Thread Magic to be a must--you can add it to the cart from the kit page. TIP: don't use regular beeswax like I did because wax doesn't look great on black fabric (I forgot!).
BONUS: Every Horror Kit includes this brand new glow-in-the-dark sticker! While supplies last.
Halloween Scissors from Kelmscott
From the artisans of Kelmscott, two super fun and unusual embroidery scissors: Halloween scissors and Goth scissors! They’re so nicely made; the quality is just excellent—a fun accessory to keep you in the Halloween mood all year round.
Spooky/Sweet Needle Minders
Two new seasonal needle minders to chill with: Skeleton Cat and Black (mlerp) Tongue Cat. You know, mlerp, that sound that means a cat is sticking out their tongue and may not even realize it--MLERP! Skeleton Cat—is it an X-ray or just a costume? This cat is probably a Halloween enthusiast (and you are, too). These two are ready for Halloween but they’ll stay all year long to mind your needles.
p.s. Someone pointed out that there has been a dearth of dog needle minders—I’m working on it! I’m both Team Cat AND Team Dog.
The Shakespeare Ravens are Back!
The people who make these raven floss organizers retired but passed the business on to their kids—so we have them in stock again! PLUS they put our logo on the back! Win-win!
Please Share Your Work!
I enjoy it so much when I see where you take our ideas and what you make of them. The idea to stitch blackwork in color for the background of our Vote pattern? Genius! Shared via Threads/Instagram from emi_star13 (I’m linking to my account because it also has another one of our patterns she did this way—on a pillow!).
If you post your work on Instagram and tag me I will see it and possibly repost or share it on product pages, I might even give you a promo code for $25 if I’m wowed! You can also reply to this email and attach your photos. Thanks in advance!
Waiting For Your Pillow Kit?
Did you order the Postmenopausal Female Pillow Kit? We got our shipment, but they sent the oblong cases! It’ll only be about a week ‘til we get the right ones, but I’m so sorry for the delay. If I could swim across the ocean and pick them up myself, you know I would! In the meantime, the creator of this design finished her pillow, which she made from scratch. It has two sides: one for the full version and the other for the redacted words. How cool is that?
That’s it for now: here are some more shots of the Horrors piece—it really is fun, but you will need good lighting and thread lube. My stitches are a little wonky because I didn’t heed my own advice. So, y’know, do as I say and not as I do! I put some pointers on the kit page for you.
Get ready for October—a special newsletter is coming your way on the 1st! Much excite! So stitch!
Thanks again for being here!
xoxo,
j.
I'm a newbie at cross stitch and I struggle with black aida, but I really want to use my glow in the dark thread and this pattern looks great! I did buy myself one of those headband lamps and it works great for working in the evenings (I just look funny wearing it 😁)
