I'm a newbie at cross stitch and I struggle with black aida, but I really want to use my glow in the dark thread and this pattern looks great! I did buy myself one of those headband lamps and it works great for working in the evenings (I just look funny wearing it 😁)
Veronica, what you can do also is put a white towel on your lap and you will be able to see the holes better on any dark fabric.... I love black fabric, but it can be a pain!! Good Luck! OR.... you can put a small lamp in the floor beside your feet and the light will shine through the holes and you can see them better... Hope that helps!
