Classified Documents: Now In a Towel Kit!
Don't embarrass yourself!
A reminder for your bathroom, this kit includes everything you need to make this 16 x 27” towel yourself— your guests will be so impressed! The Charles Craft Aberdeen Towel is nice, cushy, white and made of 100% cotton with subtle white-on-white stripes.
Sudberry House Cross Stitch Frame Box!
I love this frame box because it’s real, heavy wood with a black velvet interior. The perfect place to keep your spiders for Halloween, candy for Valentine's Day, Hannukah gelt--the possibilities are endless! Fits all of our 5" and under square patterns, shown here with Halloqueen. Your cross stitch mounts from underneath like a picture frame, pretty simple. Glass and mounting board included.
This is a PRE-ORDER: if you place your order now, we will ship your box (along with anything else in your order) in about 7- 10 days.
Ciseaux de chinoiserie
I REALLY love the look of these scissors, they seem like something you'd buy at an estate sale and never find again. Yes, those are red rhinestones, on both sides! I bought a pair to try out and they're still going strong, with all the rhinestones intact. You can't help but love them. Heavy, stainless steel blades. 5 inches long and very sharp!
I Made a Meme Thing!
Oh Liz, you really get us! Music is Jimmy Smith (there’s a soundtrack!) from the classic film “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”, which can be really campy-hilarious and tragic at the same time, depending on how dark your sense of humor is (mine’s so dark I can’t see my hand in front of my face). Anyway, excellent performances all around. This became the first movie in Academy Awards and cinema history to be nominated for EVERY Academy Award category in which it was eligible and it won FIVE Oscars. There’s nothing quite like watching Liz deliver Bette Davis’ famous line, “What! a! dump!” while eating/waving around a greasy drumstick (the origin of my cross stitch of the same phrase, in my latest book).
PDF of You’re Out of Your Gourd
Not that I want to bring it to your attention, but you MAY have noticed that I make a mistake in every newsletter. It’s kind of become my trademark thing! Geez, I’m adapting to sending a newsletter every week and it’s still a learning curve. So, if you haven’t noticed, just keep on not noticing! Here’s the PDF for You’re Out Of Your Gourd, which I missed last week. It appeared like magic!
I love this @turnerclassicmeme image. Summerstock (1950) is probably one of THE dorkiest movies ever, with my secret love Gene Kelly singing a song about dogs… you just have to see for yourself, it’s over the top. This meme of Judy combined with Ludacris lyrics, it’s just perfection. Here’s a peek at the opening number of Summerstock where Judy mows down the townfolk while singing my favorite lyric in the whole weird-ass film: “there’ll be lots of crispy lettuce in your jeeeeans!”. Who knows what she’s talking about, but they’ve got a barn and they’re gonna put on a SHOW, dammit!! Get out the way!
One last thing—did you see Representative Jasmine Crockett in action yesterday? Damn! A refreshing voice who tells it like it is. I’ve had some requests to commit her “Reclaiming My Time” moment to cross stitch. Would you like to see one of her quotes as a PDF? “Unlike Ms. Boebert, I Am Legally Trained”, “This Committee Runs My Pressure Up” or both? Voting is open until Monday.
Okay, I’m OUT—have a great weekend because Sunday is freakin’ OCTOBER already! I’ve got LOTS more Halloween stuff I’ve been saving up for you, so stay tuned.
xoxo,
j.
p.s. Last Chance Kits being discontinued (we gotta make room!)

Omg I cackled at “unlike Ms Bobert, I am legally trained” I am a lapsed lawyer (I’ve been in IT for the last 15 years), and even so, I still have a better grasp of American jurisprudence than that exceptionally questionable Bobert. I. Love. It. 😂😂😂
"This committee runs my pressure up" is a phrase that has so, so many possibilities. The temptation to whip that one up and set it in front of myself at the next annoying meeting to which I find myself being subjected is... delicious. 🤔
